Every breed is different and every dog has a different personality. Some dogs may enjoy the company of humans more than dogs and vice versa. However, every breed was bred for specific jobs with the exception of a few smaller breeds that were literally bred to be lap dogs. Most bigger breeds were bred to hunt, pull, protect, guard, etc with a combination of those traits. Some medium- large breeds were bred for herding and protecting flock. And then you have your smaller dogs that also have a purpose and can also have a job. Many times we forget that our dogs need to be dogs to live a fulfilled life. So remember to give your dog a job, something to do, keep them busy. You will have a much more happy- heathy, less destructive pup.
